"Everyone has been talking about this uniquely compelling series since its surprise twist in the series premiere," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, CTV and Specialty, Bell Media. "Just in time for the holidays, our THIS IS US cross-platform stunt will give existing fans a chance to see it again, but more importantly, allow the series to be newly discovered by others as it continues to build audience and critical momentum."
From the very beginning, with a pilot Entertainment Weekly called one of the "The 10 Best TV Episodes of 2016," THIS IS US has been a hit on CTV, making it the #1, most-watched new series with millennial audiences aged 18-34. THIS IS US also ranks as a Top 10 series in Canada overall among total viewers and all key adult demos.
Beloved by audiences and critics alike, the new drama received three Golden Globe® nominations: for Best Television Series – Drama, as well as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film for both series' stars Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember) and Christy Metz (AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW). Emmy®-winner Sterling K. Brown (THE PEOPLE V. O.J. SIMPSON: AMERICAN CRIME STORY) has also received a Screen Actors Guild Awards® nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role in THIS IS US.
Refreshingly honest and provocative, THIS IS US follows a unique ensemble of characters whose paths cross and life stories intertwine in curious ways, with several of them sharing the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect. From the writer and directors of Crazy, Stupid, Love the series is a smart, modern dramedy that challenges everyday presumptions about the people everyone thinks they know.
THIS IS US stars Sterling K. Brown as Randall, Milo Ventimiglia (GILMORE GIRLS) as Jack, Mandy Moore as Rebecca, Justin Hartley (THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) as Kevin, Chrissy Metz as Kate, Chris Sullivan (THE KNICK) as Toby, Ron Cephas Jones (MR. ROBOT) as William, and Susan Kelechi Watson (THE BLACKLIST) as Beth. Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love) serves as writer and executive producer. Jess Rosenthal, Charlie Gogolak and directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra also executive produce. THIS IS US is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Rhode Island Ave. Productions.
