TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2018 /CNW/ - CTV News today announced a new, exclusive partnership with POLITICO Pro Canada, the new subscription service covering policy trends and political developments that shape the deeply-integrated Canada-U.S. relationship.
The comprehensive collaboration kicks off with the delivery of a new, co-branded weekly segment focusing on Canada-U.S. issues on CTV News Channel's daily marquee political program POWER PLAY, airing every Friday beginning Oct. 26. "Inside Washington with POLITICO Pro" features POLITICO Pro Canada reporters Alex Panetta and Lauren Gardner joining CTV News Ottawa Bureau Chief Joyce Napier to discuss the most significant cross-border stories making news across the 49th parallel.
The newly-announced, exclusive partnership sees CTV News and POLITICO Pro Canada collaborating to enrich political reporting on both organizations' platforms. The partnership marks POLITICO's first foray into Canadian linear television, and will also produce a range of exclusive stories and digital content on CTVNews.ca.
"CTV News is Canada's most-watched news network and we are thrilled to bring POLITICO Pro's in-depth reporting on Canada-U.S. issues to audiences across the country," said Luiza Ch. Savage, Executive Director of POLITICO Pro Canada. "Every day, our reporters go beyond the headlines to report key developments in Washington, D.C. and the states that affect Canadian businesses and government. Every week, this unique cross-border conversation will explore what it all means for Canadians."
"We're excited to launch this new partnership, a collaboration between two strong news organizations coming together to share valuable perspectives from both sides of the border," said Wendy Freeman, President, CTV News. "At such a critical time for Canada-U.S. relations, Canadians can turn to CTV News for trusted political news and analysis that explores the most pressing issues facing the nation."
