LOST Finale Lights Up Canada With 2.04 Million Viewers as Epic Series Ends on CTV

TORONTO, May 25 /CNW/ - After six years, 114 episodes and 121.5 hours of engaging television, Dr. Jack Shephard's eyes closed and LOST came to an end with 2.04 million viewers watching the epic two-and-a-half hour series finale Sunday night on CTV. It was the series' most-watched finale ever, attracting 30% more viewers than its season average and peaking at 2.5 million. With five million unique viewers watching some or all of the episode, LOST ended the night as the most-watched program on Canadian television Sunday in all key demos. Head to head from 9-11 p.m., LOST attracted 63% more viewers than the season finale of CELEBRITY APPRENTICE (Global/NBC, 1.23 million).
Before the finale, the two-hour LOST recap special THE FINAL JOURNEY attracted 1.5 million viewers, winning the 7 p.m. timeslot and charting as the No. 2 most watched program of the night.
This season, LOST videos were streamed 6.4 million times on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca, including more than half a million video streams since Sunday night's finale. The finale is now available on demand at CTV.ca, in addition to repeat broadcasts on Thursday, May 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET on SPACE and Saturday, May 29 at 8 p.m. ET on /A\. Fans can also continue to discuss the finale at the LOST forum on CTV.ca.
Immediately following the CTV broadcast, more than 2,200 fans visited CTV.ca to participate in the interactive live chat with a panel of LOST experts, making it the most active one-hour online chat ever on CTV.ca.
