TORONTO, March 11, 2014 /CNW/ - From home cooks to a girl with extraordinary powers, CTV claimed two of the Top 3 programs of the night on Monday, and led every hour of primetime with total viewers and in the key A25-54 demo. With 1.6 million viewers tuning in, the CTV original series MASTERCHEF CANADA was the most-watched program of the night with total viewers and in all key adult demos. Just over halfway through the season with seven episodes left, last night's MASTERCHEF CANADA saw Dale Kuda eliminated, and bested an original episode of BONES (Global) by 8% with total viewers, and double-digits among all key demos (+31% A25-54, +36% A18-49, and +53% A18-34).
In a special timeslot, the new drama BELIEVE from Oscar®-Winner Alfonso Cuarón and Emmy®-Winner J.J. Abrams premiered to 1.3 million viewers before it moves to its regular Sundays at 9 p.m. ET timeslot beginning this Sunday, March 16. BELIEVE won its 10 p.m. timeslot nationally among total viewers and all key adult demos, as well as in the key markets of Toronto and Vancouver.
Viewers can now watch last night's episodes of BELIEVE and MASTERCHEF CANADA on demand at CTV.ca and the CTV GO app.

In the next episode of BELIEVE, "Beginners Luck" (airing Sunday, March 16 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV), on the run and in desperate need of money, Tate (Jake McLaughlin) takes Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) to Atlantic City, where she instantly bonds with a struggling mother and her sick child. The involvement of the FBI complicates Skouras' (Kyle MacLachlan) efforts to covertly recover Bo, while Winter (Delroy Lindo) and Channing (Jamie Chung) work to stay one step ahead.
And in next week's episode of MASTERCHEF CANADA, "Great Canadian Bake Sale" (airing Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV), the home cooks raise their Mystery Boxes to reveal a jaw-dropping array of rare and challenging ingredients. They turn out to be a selection of the judges' favourite culinary items culled from their own restaurant kitchens. The home cook who can get creative with ingredients like Durian, Sea Urchin, Squab, and Kimchi will get to choose what everyone else tackles in the Elimination Challenge - and this time the inspiration lies a lot closer to home.
