CVTech Group Inc. announces the appointment of Pierre L. Gauthier as new President and Chief Executive Officer

DRUMMONDVILLE, QC, July 10, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - CVTech Group Inc. ("CVTech" or the "Corporation") (TSX: CVT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Pierre L. Gauthier who will succeed to Mr. André Laramée as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Gauthier will take office on August 11, 2014. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Gauthier has served as director and member of the Governance and Nominating Committee of the Corporation since December 2013.

Mr. Gauthier currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Alstom Power & Transport Canada Inc., one of the world's leaders in power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Centre de commercialisation en innovation manufacturière, a director of Alstom Grid Canada inc. and Alstom Sitca as well as a member of a number of Canadian and U.S. associations. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and has pursued further studies in business administration at McGill University and INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration). Among Mr. Gauthier's distinctions are France's Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur, an honorary PhD from École Polytechnique de Montréal and the Jean-Jacques Archambault Award of the Association de l'industrie électrique du Québec.
