Dairy Farmers Invite Canadians into their Kitchens
2014 Milk Calendar features favourite family recipes from Canadian dairy farmers
MONTRÉAL, Nov. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The 2014 Milk Calendar will be celebrating the people who make all the magic happen - Canadian dairy farmers. Canada's favourite calendar features recipes straight from the farming families who bring us the goodness of 100% Canadian milk every day. The calendar will be distributed in most daily newspapers across Ontario and the Maritimes on Saturday, November 16.
"The 2014 Milk Calendar gives us a peek into the recipe collection of Canadian dairy farmers and, as people will see when they pick up a copy, there are some real treasures to be discovered," says professional home economist Jennifer MacKenzie. "I feel honoured to have the opportunity to share these farm family favourites with Canadians."
The monthly recipes contributed by dairy farmers range from quick and nutritious breakfast foods to simple delicious entrees to sweet treats the whole family will enjoy. Each recipe is made with at least one half cup of milk. Additional recipes from Canadian dairy farming families in provinces across Canada are featured on MilkCalendar.ca.
"I'm so excited about this edition of the calendar," says Jennifer. "Not only do we have amazing recipes from Canadian dairy farmers, but all the other popular extras are back like useful cooking tips, suggestions for kids, a nutritional analysis for each recipe, and options for varying the ingredients."
In addition to the monthly recipes, the calendar features newly-developed recipes for the Cheese, Cream and baking pages.
All recipes included in the calendar, as well as additional recipes from dairy farmers, are available for download at MilkCalendar.ca now. Monthly recipes are available in French at the back of the Milk Calendar. MilkCalendar.ca offers all recipes in French.
