Darlington Nuclear Station water release update - No. 5
Normal levels of tritium continue in latest samples
The event took place outside the reactor building and station operations were not affected.
Extensive monitoring, sampling, testing and diagnostics has determined that the amount of tritium released to the environment was in fact extremely low, far less than 1 per cent of the regulatory limit and consistent with normal operational activities.
Given the small amount of tritium released it's not expected that any abnormal results will be found. Testing at local water treatment facilities will continue. OPG will post its next update
