BOUCHERVILLE, QC, April 3, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Reno-Depot, a banner of Lowe's Canada, is proud to announce Dave Morissette as its new spokesperson. A former professional hockey player who is now a well-known figure in the Quebec media landscape, but also a home improvement enthusiast, Dave Morissette will star in various Reno-Depot advertising campaigns starting April 9.
"Reno-Depot is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and embarking on the next chapter of its history. During this growth phase, we wished to partner with a new spokesperson who is - just like the Reno-Depot brand - accessible, authentic, energetic, and professional," said Guy Beaumier, Executive Vice-President, Big Box at Lowe's Canada. "Dave is a down-to-earth, hands-on kind of guy who enjoys home improvement and knows how to overcome obstacles to complete his projects. He embodies Reno-Depot's DNA perfectly, as well as our values. We are thrilled to welcome him into our big family!"
"Reno-Depot is a strong brand that I really connect with. People who know me can tell how I love home renovation. This partnership was a natural one," said Dave Morissette. "It is with a great deal of pride that I become the voice of Reno-Depot, whose team is made of passionate people who love their products and share the same motivation: meeting their customers' needs and helping them carrying out their projects successfully, no matter the scope or budget."
A native of Baie-Comeau, Dave Morissette sported the Montréal Canadiens jersey from 1998 to 2000. After his hockey career, he became a sports analyst and a radio and TV host. He now hosts an evening sports roundup show that bears his name. Dave Morissette has been awarded six Artis trophies.
