MONTREAL, June 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - MAAX BATH INC. has announced that David Van der Wee joined the company as Vice President of Operations on June 3, 2013.
Mr. Van der Wee will report directly to Mark Gold, President and CEO of MAAX Bath Inc.
David Van der Wee joins MAAX after spending more than sixteen years with Pratt & Whitney Canada in roles of increasing responsibility in both Operations and Marketing. David began his career as a manufacturing engineer and quickly rose to more senior roles through demonstrated leadership, teamwork and a solid track record of exceeding objectives. Throughout David's career in Operations, he led the implementation of lean manufacturing and game-changing technologies to drive operational excellence, culminating in his role as Director, Canadian Manufacturing and Operations Strategy. David spent his last 3 years as Vice-President Marketing, Business Aviation, where he was responsible for developing all aspects of customer relationships in his market segment.
His unique experience and skill-set make him a valuable addition to the MAAX team. "David is a natural leader with a great track record of business transformation and customer focus. As Vice-President of Operations, David Van der Wee will coordinate the creation and implementation of an operations strategy to support the core drivers of MAAX's strategic plan.
He will strengthen MAAX's manufacturing operations leadership, focusing on product quality, delivery performance, forecast accuracy and inventory planning, among others.
