Day 3 - Edmonton - Media advisory reminder - Child amputees learn to handle teasing and bullying at War Amps Edmonton Seminar

EDMONTON, Aug. 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Today is the last day of The War Amps 2015 Western Child Amputee (CHAMP) Seminar in Edmonton.

Growing up with an amputation can be challenging, from dealing with staring, teasing and bullying, to the frustrations of not being able to take part in an activity or keep up with peers. In an open forum session called "What Bugs Me", child amputees from across the Western provinces will have the opportunity to talk about these difficult issues and get practical solutions from older Champs.

This year marks the 40^th anniversary of the CHAMP Program, which has provided generations of child amputees, with financial assistance for artificial limbs, regional seminars and peer support.
