DDB Canada Appoints New Creative Leadership In Toronto
Agency promotes longstanding talent, Paul Wallace to ECD and David Ross to CD roles
TORONTO, March 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Kevin Drew Davis, chief creative officer of DDB Canada, today announced the appointment of Paul Wallace as executive creative director and David Ross as creative director of DDB Canada Toronto.
In his new role, Wallace will lead and manage the Toronto office's creative department and ensure the integrated agency continues to deliver creative, business-building communications programs to its clients.
"Paul has consistently delivered innovative business solutions for our clients over the years, has instinctively taken on the creative leadership on several key accounts and has done an outstanding job coaching our junior teams," says Davis. "He has been building to this promotion, and I find it extremely rewarding to recognize him for all of his hard work, dedication and impact."
As creative director, Ross will take on a more expansive role within the department and assume creative leadership on additional client business, while continuing to contribute to the agency's creative product.
For the past 13 years, Wallace and Ross have played integral roles in the Toronto office's creative department, taking on more responsibility as they transitioned from art director and copywriter respectively to associate creative directors. Both have contributed to developing campaigns for clients such as Cialis, Becel, Subaru Canada and the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, which have garnered the industry's most coveted awards, including Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clio's, CASSIES and more. During their tenure at DDB Canada, both have consistently ranked highly in strategy's annual Creative Report Card. This year, both Wallace and Ross placed on the top 20 creative director roster and individually placed on the top 20 art director and top 10 copywriter lists.
"DDB has a long history of promoting from within and providing our talent with new opportunities and professional growth," adds Davis. "We're pleased to continue this tradition."
