de Jong to host Telephone Town-hall to listen to BC Liberal members
ABBOTSFORD, BC, Oct. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Leadership candidate Michael de Jong is hosting a telephone town-hall with BC Liberal party members to build a new vision for the province that reflects the party's free-enterprise coalition values.
"I want to hear new ideas from party members and share some of my own," said de Jong. "This discussion will bring forward new ideas and make us a stronger party with renewed clarity that we can offer to British Columbians at the next election."
"Only by engaging and listening to members will we be able to revitalize our party and move forward together to take on John Horgan and the NDP," said de Jong.
De Jong will host the telephone town-hall on Wednesday, Oct. 4, to hear directly from party members about their priorities and ideas. The virtual town-hall forum will discuss re-energising the free-enterprise coalition and building a strong team to stand up to the NDP and earn back the trust of BC voters.
"This engagement session with members is a chance to discuss our core values as a free-enterprise coalition, and set our sights on a prosperous province that uses its resources wisely to create opportunity, support the people of our province, and protect our environment," de Jong said. "I want to hear about priorities and core values, and ideas to make them a reality."
How it works: tens-of-thousands of BC Liberal members will receive a phone call between 7 and 7:30 pm on Wed., Oct. 4, and can stay on the line to join the call. Participants can listen, ask questions directly to de Jong by phone, and discuss their ideas and priorities.
