Deaf kids can hear and talk!

TORONTO, May 18 /CNW/ - Babies are being screened at birth for hearing loss in many BUT NOT ALL provinces of Canada today.

Prime Minister Harper acknowledged the importance of hearing testing in his recent press release. UNHS is cost effective, primarily through savings in special education. Children who are given the opportunity to hear and speak have better literacy and improved employability as adults.
