DRUMMONDVILLE, QC, Sept. 24, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - On September 13, 2018, Denis St-Aubin, an inmate from Drummond Institution died while in our custody.
At the time of his death, Mr. Denis St-Aubin, 66 years old, had been serving a sentence of 54 years and 16 days since July 28, 1977. Accusations include Escape Lawful Custody, Conspiracy to Commit Escape Lawful Custody, Unlawfully At Large, Attempt Robbery, Armed Robbery, Robbery with Violence, Break and Enter, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Forcible Confinement.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
