Decision Notice - CIRO Hearing Panel issues Reasons for Decision in the matter of Gilbert VanAmburg Français
HALIFAX, NS, Jan. 22, 2024 /CNW/ - Following a settlement hearing held on February 9, 2023, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, a hearing panel of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) under the Mutual Fund Dealer Rules accepted the settlement agreement dated December 12, 2022 between CIRO's Enforcement Staff and Gilbert VanAmburg.

In its reasons for decision, the Hearing Panel confirmed the sanctions imposed on Gilbert VanAmburg:
- a fine in the amount of $17,500; and
- costs in the amount of $2,500.
During the period described in the Notice of Hearing, Gilbert VanAmburg conducted business in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area.
