LAVAL, QC, May 28, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - St-Hubert announces the addition of new Quebec products to its beverage list, in the form of two wines from the Orpailleur Vineyard and a ready-to-drink cocktail created by romeo's gin. L'Orpailleur wines will be available for delivery and at the take-out counter, while romeo's gin+tonic will be offered as soon as the chain's dining rooms reopen. While St-Hubert already included products from these two companies on its dining room menu, the new offering will allow more Quebecers to enjoy high-quality wines and cocktail along with their favourite St-Hubert dishes, while helping to support local businesses.
A pioneer in food delivery, St-Hubert has adapted its operations to offer all of its customers a secure experience during the Covid-19 era. "As well as making the enjoyment of St-Hubert meals both safe and reassuring, we wanted the experience to be representative of our brand, which has always considered the local sourcing of food and beverages to be fundamental!" said Richard Scofield, president of St-Hubert Group.
Thus, the company hand-picked two wines from the Orpailleur Vineyard, in Dunham, based on the preferences of St-Hubert customers. These were: Orpailleur Blanc, a well-balanced dry white, and Orpailleur Rouge, already a great favourite among Quebecers. The two wines are now being added to the external sales menu. Also, romeo's gin+tonic, the first premium ready-to-drink gin and tonic made in Quebec, will also be available to accompany all meals enjoyed in the dining room.
"In keeping with our tradition, St-Hubert is taking the opportunity to showcase local products and the riches of our region. As with our restaurants, for which more than 80% of purchases are made in Quebec, our offerings are evolving to fully satisfy our customers' tastes. We can thank local producers and farmers for our St-Hubert BBQ sauce, roast chicken, ribs, coleslaw, famous sugar pie, piri-piri sauce, TAG on the GO oatmeal cookies and so many other items. All of our franchisees are extremely proud to be able to encourage local producers", said Mr. Scofield.
Charles-Henri de Coussergues, co-owner of the Orpailleur Vineyard, added: "For several years, our winery has been featured on the St-Hubert wine list, with great success. We are delighted with the company's determination to encourage local sourcing by offering you our Orpailleur Blanc and Orpailleur Rouge, both of which are top sellers in Quebec in their respective categories. From our soil to your table, let's be proud to put Quebec in our glass!"
Nicolas Duvernois, CEO of Pur Vodka, also added: "We are very enthusiastic about taking part in St-Hubert's wonderful collaboration with romeo's gin+tonic! St-Hubert restaurants are an institution in Quebec, and we are proud to be able to enhance their cocktail option with our ready-to-drink gin and tonic, flavoured with tangerine and elderflower! In these uncertain times, it's important to stick together and encourage local businesses, which is why this partnership makes so much sense! Eat Local, Drink Local!"

Imagined in Montreal. Bold and creative. A spirit curated for the non-conformists, those who live life without boundaries and create something for the rest of us to think about. Every limited edition of romeo's gin and its ready-to-drink cocktails showcase selected urban artists from Montreal and elsewhere.
In 2018, in an effort to bring art to unexpected places, romeo's gin launched romeo's museum, Canada's first museum of urban art. A total of 24 murals created by 24 Montreal artists to showcase a new space: the fire escapes of a busy office building in Montreal's Mile End district.
