Canadian hotel management company receives recognition for the 14th year
TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Delta Hotels and Resorts is pleased to have been recognized as one of the "50 Best Employers in Canada" by Aon Hewitt. This is the 14th year that Delta has received this recognition and the company is one of the few who have remained on the list since its inception. This year, Delta Hotels and Resorts ranked 28 out of 84 eligible organizations, up from 36 the previous year.
"We are proud to be acknowledged by our hard-working employees," says Ken Greene, President and CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts. "Our sustained focus on ensuring a healthy workplace has resulted in us continuing to be ranked as one of Canada's 50 best employers."
The 50 Best Employers study measures employee engagement, not just satisfaction or benefits programs. Engagement is about employees' level of commitment and accountability for improving business results.
"Innovative initiatives, such as our new Valuing Healthy Minds program, ensure that Delta offers a healthy workplace that focuses on the mental health and wellbeing of all team members and contributes to employee engagement," says Bill Pallett, Senior Vice President, People Resources.
The list of the 50 Best Employers in Canada, along with highlights from the research findings, will be published in the November 18th issue of Maclean's magazine, available on newsstands on November 7, 2013.
