Design Engineering Expo (DEX) to debut in Calgary, return to Coquitlam, B.C.
TORONTO, April 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Design Engineering magazine, Canada's leading B2B publication for Canadian mechanical engineers and OEM design leaders, announced that it will debut its tabletop trade show, the Design Engineering Expo (DEX) at the Commonwealth Centre in Calgary, Alberta on May 27, 2014. And, given its successful run last year, DEX is returning to Coquitlam, B.C. on May 6, 2014 at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver Theatre.
At both locations, the free-to-attend, one-day show will provide a forum for face-to-face interactions where engineers, product developers, machine builders and systems integrators can discuss, network, solicit advice on the latest technologies from the Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Machine Building, Medical, Metal Fabrication, Packaging, and Power Generation industries.
At DEX Coquitlam and Calgary, attendees won't want to miss this year's keynote address by Edwin Beange, President of Hansen Industries Ltd. Scheduled from 9:00-10:00 a.m., the free presentation will address issues such as competition from China and Mexico, finding qualified employees and downward price pressures.
The Vancouver and Calgary shows will be co-located with the Metalworking Manufacturing & Production Expo. Employing the same efficient tabletop format, MMP Expo will attract regional manufacturers and job shops, as well as maintenance, tool rooms, automotive, aerospace, energy and resources, medical manufacturing, transportation and tool-die moldmaking attendees.
DEX will also return to the Mississauga Convention Centre on October 28, 2014.
