Desjardins and TELUS Health launch nationwide eClaims solution for Allied healthcare providers Français
Allied healthcare providers will soon be able to submit electronic patient claims directly to Desjardins Financial Security through TELUS' web-based eClaims service
MONTREAL, Oct. 12, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Desjardins Financial Security (DFS) is proud to introduce its new web-based claims service through the TELUS Health eClaims solution. Specifically designed to accelerate and simplify claims processing, as of the end of November, TELUS Health eClaims' portal will enable allied health care providers, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, visioncare providers, as well as acupuncturists, massage therapists and naturopathic doctors in certain provinces, to offer patients the convenience of point-of-sale claim submission.
Through this new online service, health care providers will be able to quickly and efficiently submit electronic claims on behalf of their patients. As this technology is available to all software vendors, it allows providers to submit claims using their own patient/practice management systems.
"With this new partnership, DFS brings a proven service to our plan sponsors and members nationwide," said Jean-François Chalifoux, senior Vice President of the Group and Business Insurance division at DFS. "Our goal is to give our plan sponsors and members the tools they need to make the claims process as easy and efficient as possible. This new partnership with TELUS Health will give our plan sponsors a simple and effective claims submission solution that also expands our services for plan members."
"Whether you are a small dedicated clinic or a large multi-service practice, your top priority is your patients' health," said Luc Vilandré, Vice President, Health Benefits Management, TELUS Health. "TELUS Health continues to deliver targeted solutions that allow plan sponsors to better manage the costs associated with benefit plans and facilitate the efficient administration of the health and wellness of Canadians. We are pleased to extend our partnership with DFS and are confident that the TELUS Health eClaims service will drive efficiencies that enhance the patient experience and achieve better health outcomes for all Canadians."
TELUS Health is a leader in Canada's claims and benefits management sector, providing drug claims processing for more than 11 million Canadians. The TELUS Health eClaims web portal service, launched in 2010, has been rapidly adopted by health care community partners, with over 12,000 providers now on board.
