LÉVIS, QC and CARAQUET, NB, March 28, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Desjardins Group and the Fédération des caisses populaires acadiennes (FCPA) are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership under which the FCPA, its caisses and its members, will continue to have access to Desjardins services and business solutions.
In an effort to meet FCPA members' changing needs, the agreement stipulates that Desjardins will continue to support the FCPA—as an auxiliary outside-Quebec—in a number of fields, including IT services through the AccèsD transaction site. Desjardins will also advise the FCPA on strategies, finances and administration, and provide any other information necessary to allow the FCPA to continue to stand out in the increasingly competitive financial services market.
"I am happy that we have renewed our agreement and that the Fédération des caisses populaires acadiennes continues to trust in us," said Chair of the Board, President and CEO of Desjardins Group Monique F. Leroux. "This partnership is a testament to the spirit of intercooperation that these two organizations have held high for 45 years."
Camille Thériault, president and CEO of the FCPA, said: "We're happy to renew this business partnership with Desjardins, which confirms the spirit of cooperation that has existed between our two organizations for many decades. We share common values and a strong francophone identity. This partnership with Desjardins, a strong financial player in the country, will give us the advantage of improving our services while having access to advanced technology. It goes without saying that this agreement is a major asset for the development of our projects."
