Devon Soltendieck Announced as New Reporter for CTV's ETALK

TORONTO, Aug. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Just in time for its leading coverage of the 38th annual Toronto International Film Festival® and the launch of its 12th season, CTV announced today that Devon Soltendieck joins ETALK as the new reporter for Canada's most-watched entertainment series. Joining ETALK in its mission to profile and nurture Canadian talent, shine a spotlight on home-grown music, film, fashion and television, and provide a unique Canadian lens for international entertainment news, Soltendieck joins anchors Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim, senior reporter Danielle McGimsie, and fellow reporters Lainey, and Traci Melchor. Soltendieck makes his ETALK debut Monday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).

Approaching a decade of national TV and radio experience, Soltendieck has been part of several award-winning Canadian productions since beginning his television career at the age of 18. At MuchMusic, Soltendieck spent several years as the host of MUCH NEWS, LIVE@MUCH, the annual MMVAs, and a highly rated weekly national radio countdown show. In 2010, he moved from entertainment to the world of broadcast news, becoming an anchor and reporter for CP24, Toronto's only 24-hour news network. In addition to his new role with ETALK, viewers can also catch Soltendieck as the host of POP QUIZ, the new fast-paced, pop culture testing game show set to premiere on E! this fall.
Devon joins Canada's #1 entertainment team, which over the past decade has written a recipe for success by highlighting Canadian content and providing Canadian context to international entertainment news.
