DGC Ontario elects new Board Members
TORONTO, March 27, 2012 /CNW/ - The DGC Ontario Executive Board of Directors is pleased to announce four new Board Members after the Ontario District Council elections were held at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Toronto.
"I am delighted with the election results," stated Alan Goluboff, Chair, DGC Ontario Board of Directors. "It is wonderful to see the electoral process in full swing. I am confident the new Members will bring fresh energy and ideas to an already active and engaged Board of Directors."
Shawn Thompson, Gemini Award winning director for Puppets Who Kill, was elected to the position of First Vice Chair; Zachary Beckwith, DGC Ontario Member in the category of Location Manager was elected to the position of Second Vice Chair; Steve Munroe was elected as Editing Caucus representative and finally, Brian Campbell, DGC Ontario Member in the category of Production Manager was elected as Production Manager Caucus representative. Also of note, Carmen Arndt, previously on the DGC Ontario Board as Production Manager Caucus representative, has been elected to the position of Membership Chair.
"It was my first election as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for DGC Ontario and the entire process was quite exhilarating," enthused Bill Skolnik, "I look forward to building a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Board of Directors in the months to come as we move into negotiations and a busy production time."
