Brand Finance's yearly ranking gives D+H a brand value of US$350 million
TORONTO, Feb. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - DH Corporation (TSX: DH) ("D+H"), a leading provider of technology solutions to financial institutions, has been named one of the top 100 Canadian brands by Brand Finance's yearly ranking of Canadian companies, the most comprehensive analysis of Canadian brand values. In its first year of inclusion, D+H ranked as the 91st most valuable brand in Canada.
"We are honoured to be recognized as one of Canada's top brands and as the only financial technology firm to be included in this year's list," said Carrie Russell, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer of D+H. "For nearly 140 years, D+H has cultivated long-standing relationships with Canada's leading financial institutions. As we have pivoted to our new financial technology brand in recent years, our company has experienced significant growth in both Canada and the United States. This has been transformational for us, and truly invigorating. However, as we scale our business and brand across borders, we stay true to our roots by maintaining a deep understanding of our clients in order to provide them with relevant technology solutions that fit their business."
Brand Finance calculates brand value using the Royalty Relief methodology which determines the value a company would be willing to pay to license its brand as if it did not own it. This approach involves estimating the future revenue attributable to a brand and calculating a royalty rate that would be charged for the use of the brand.
