DHX Media broadcast and DVD deals signed

HALIFAX , Nov. 23 /CNW/ - DHX Media Ltd (TSX: "DHX"), a leading independent international producer and distributor of television programming and interactive content is pleased to announce several international sales of family series Grandpa in My Pocket, which was commissioned by BBC's CBeebies network in the UK.

CBeebies Latin America has acquired the series as have HOP Israel , RUV Iceland , OKTO in Singapore and Greece's MCOM. A home entertainment deal for Australia has also been agreed with Australian Broadcasting Corporation's ABC Home Video for Australia , where the series already rates as one of the top children's programmes. ABC TV has also picked up the second season for broadcast.

DHX Media's distribution subsidiary DECODE Enterprises holds TV, DVD and consumer products rights to the special effects-laden live action series which is a top-rating hit in the UK on BBC's CBeebies. In addition, DHX Media's consumer products division DHX Licensing has signed agreements with licensing partners that are expected to build on the success of Grandpa In My Pocket. In the UK, Warner Home Video UK has been appointed as DVD partner and Brandzoo is UK licensing agent. Australia's Stella Projects, headed by Grahame Grassby, is licensing agent for Australia and New Zealand .
