DHX MEDIA LICENSES RASTAMOUSE IN AUSTRALIA, POLAND AND ISRAEL

HALIFAX, Dec. 7 /CNW/ - DHX Media, a leading international producer and distributor of television programming and interactive content, is pleased to announce that it has signed three licenses for the new preschool show Rastamouse, for which DHX Media acts as the distributor. In Australia, ABC has licensed the broadcast and home video rights to all 52 episodes of the CBeebies-commissioned stop-motion animated series, which is produced by Three Stones Media with Dinamo Productions and publishers Little Roots.
Also, Canal+ (MiniMini) has acquired TV rights in Poland and HOP! has picked up all episodes for Israel. DHX Media represents worldwide television rights (excluding UK) and worldwide merchandising and licensing rights to the property which will launch in the UK on CBeebies in the first quarter of next year.

Based on the books by Michael De Souza and Genevieve Webster, Rastamouse is a show with positivity and fun at its core. The main character, Rastamouse, together with Scratchy and Zoomer, make up the Easy Crew; a crime-fighting, mystery-solving, special agent, reggae band.
