Designed to connect employers with graduates to meet the growing demand for trained digital talent
TORONTO, June 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Digital AdLab Inc., the leading provider of digital advertising education and practical in-software application training for marketers, advertising agencies, and educational institutions, announces the launch of Digital AdLab Placement Services. This new service has been uniquely developed for the Digital AdLab : Education program to provide employment placement services for the 'Certified Digital' graduates pursuing a professional career in advertising.
"The creation of Digital AdLab Placement Services is just the natural evolution of our vision," explains Raymond Reid, Founder and CEO of Digital AdLab. "Over the past year we have seen an explosion of new job postings seeking qualified candidates with digital experience – this is only the beginning." According to the research firm, eMarketer, digital advertising in Canada, the number one advertising medium since 2013, is expected to grow to reach approximately $6 billion dollars in media spend by 2020 driving the demand for new roles and new talent.
In preparation for employment, Digital AdLab Placement Services will empower program graduates with the knowledge to assess, select, and successfully acquire employment with advertisers, advertising agencies, media publishers, and/or technology service providers.
"Through our partnership with DoubleClick by Google, the opportunity now exists to provide a formal digital training program to enable the next generation of graduating students with the practical experience required to contribute immediately upon employment," states Reid.
Graduates will also receive assistance to prepare for interviews, understand role expectations, and assess interests and skillsets to identify best-fit opportunities.
Employer Partnership Initiative:
A core component of Digital AdLab Placement Services is the unique relationship that will be fostered with prospective employers through the Employer Partnership Initiative. This initiative will provide participating employers the opportunity to introduce their companies, services, and career opportunities to program participants. Distinctively, employer partners will also gain exclusive first-look access to each class of 'Certified Digital' graduating students, while contributing to the development of these future candidates during their training to address the needs of their respective organizations.
Summer 2016 Graduating Class:
The Digital AdLab : Education program, launched in partnership with Sheridan's Pilon School of Business in May 2016, will graduate the first class of more than 20 'Certified Digital' students at the conclusion of the six-week intensive program. This inaugural class represents the first of its kind for both the educational institution and the companies that seek to meet the growing demand of trained digital resources for today's digital economy.
"Our students responded with overwhelming enthusiasm to the inaugural Student Digital Accelerator Program," says Sylvia Lowndes, Dean of the Pilon School of Business. "The launch of Digital AdLab Placement Services will be of tremendous benefit to our graduates who are eager to put their education and enhanced skills to work."
