Digital, web and mobile testing specialist - StarDust chooses Greater Montréal for its international expansion Français
MONTREAL, June 19, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - France-based StarDust, a company specializing in the validation and quality assurance of digital services for publishers and developers, has chosen Greater Montréal to expand into the North American market and has already landed a contract with Ingenio, a subsidiary of Loto-Québec, to test several of their mobile applications.
This is the company's first international expansion, which is designed to meet its clients' growing demand for intercontinental projects. As a leader in the digital testing industry, StarDust is recognized for its capacity to conduct validation testing for digital projects over a large variety of devices (phones, tablets and computers).
"Montréal has developed extensive expertise in testing, as a result of its huge video game industry, so it is easy to recruit experienced workers. Being in Greater Montréal also enabled us to provide more efficient customer service by taking advantage of the time difference. The Montréal team can take over for the Paris team once the work day is finished there, and thus deliver quicker results and tests," said StarDust President François Joseph Viallon.
A sector that stands out in the world
"Announcements made in recent months in the multimedia sector confirm that Greater Montréal is keeping its momentum and this industry continues to thrive. Montréal's creativity and technological expertise continue to stand out, so major companies such as StarDust come here to develop promising new markets. This is extremely encouraging for Québec's metropolis' economic vitality," stated Dominique Anglade, President and CEO of Montréal International.
Led by Delphine Guyot Giler, CEO and Co-founder of StarDust, the Montréal office is already operating with its first bank of 150 testing terminals and five employees. "Within the next six months, we expect to complete testing on 300 different configurations, thanks to our partnerships with device manufacturers. We will also be hiring more workers and expect to have some twenty employees in all," said Guyot Giler.
