Director General of National Archives of Mexico will be guest speaker at Library and Archives Canada Français
OTTAWA, Oct. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Please join us for this lively conversation by the Director General of the National Archives of Mexico, Dr. Mercedes de Vega.
Dr. de Vega will share her reflections on "The place and role of archives and archivists in Mexico" as part of the Wallot-Sylvestre seminar series hosted by Guy Berthiaume, Librarian and Archivist of Canada.
The presentation, which will be in English with simultaneous interpretation in French, will also include a question period.
ABOUT THE WALLOT-SYLVESTRE SEMINAR SERIES:
Hosted by Guy Berthiaume, Librarian and Archivist of Canada, the Wallot-Sylvestre seminar series promotes the exchange of ideas in fields such as library science, information science, archival science and history. Speakers are invited by LAC from the academic, public and private sectors, and include both scholars and practitioners. The series is named in honour of Guy Sylvestre, Librarian of Canada from 1968 to 1983, and Jean-Pierre Wallot, National Archivist of Canada from 1985 to 1997.
