Director of Communications for London 2012 Organizing Committee to speak in Calgary
IABC/Calgary brings award winning communicator Jackie Brock-Doyle to inspire Calgary communicators
CALGARY, Feb. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - The International Association of Business Communicators, Calgary Chapter (IABC/Calgary) is excited to host special guest speaker Jackie Brock-Doyle, OBE, Director of Communications & Public Affairs for the London 2012 Organizing Committee, in Calgary at The Palliser Hotel on February 27, 2013.

A winner of PR Week Awards 2012's 'PR Professional of the Year,' as well as winner of 'Campaign of Year' for the London 2012 campaign, Jackie has designed and directed communication, media and sponsorship programs in countries across the world, for some of the world's biggest brands and events, including Visa International, the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Cadbury and the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. Jackie was also head of public relations and media relations during London's successful bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following the successful bid, Jackie became director of Communications & Public Relations; a job she still holds now during the final wrap up months.
Jackie will speak about her international experience and how she created inspiring and strategic communications plans. Her presentation will focus on the importance of vision, how to provide communications that reach well beyond the marketing efforts of a company, and the integration of strategic communications into tactical pieces like social media, crisis plans and government relations work.
