MONTREAL, Sept. 22, 2010 /CNW Telbec/ - Do you enjoy contemporary art? Would you like to know more about it? Do you aspire to become a collector? Did you answer yes to any of these questions? Then sign up now for SéminArts, an educational program that consists of five gatherings offered in cooperation with the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Family Foundation from October to December 2010. Conducted in an atmosphere conducive to discussion and exchanges of ideas, each of these sessions will allow participants to meet various players in the art world: museum curator, artist, gallery owner, corporate collector, private collector.

Meeting with the artist and viewing of works yet to be shown. How does the artist address the collector's and the gallerist's needs? The Art Gallery Meeting with a gallery owner. Different types of art galleries to discover. What is the relationship between gallerist, collector and artist? The Corporate Collection Visit to view one of the biggest corporate collections in Canada. Guided tour with the curator. How does a company start and maintain an art collection? The Private Collector Visit to view a private collection in a private house. Meeting with a young art collector and his wife. How does a private individual become an art collector?
