Discovery Air appoints Michael Grasty to its Board of Directors
TORONTO, July 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Discovery Air Inc. ("Discovery Air") announced today the appointment of Michael Grasty to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Grasty is a prominent international businessman and lawyer based in South America. He founded the law firm of Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cia. in 1987 and is currently its Senior Partner. Mr. Grasty specializes in corporate matters, regularly advising multi-national companies on their Chilean investment strategy and providing general legal counsel to their local subsidiaries. He currently acts as Director and general representative for various multi-national companies doing business in Chile, and has been involved in numerous cross-border transactions spanning several South American countries.
Mr. Grasty is past President of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce ("AMCHAM"), the largest bi-national chamber in Chile, and was responsible for forming AMCHAM's Ethics Committee and AMCHAM's International Commercial Arbitration Center in conjunction with the American Arbitration Association. He is currently a Director and the Secretary of AMCHAM, sits on its Executive Committee and is responsible for the Legal Committee overseeing intellectual property and energy issues.
A graduate of the Universidad Católica Law School (1981) and Stanford University (B.A. History ´74), Mr. Grasty is a member of the Chilean Bar Association, the International Bar Association, The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, and the Circulo Legal de Icare.
