Discovery Air appoints new Chief Financial Officer
YELLOWKNIFE, NT, Sept. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Brian Semkowski, interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Air Inc. ("Discovery Air"), announced today that William (Bill) Martin has been appointed as Discovery Air's Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") effective October 1, 2012. Mr. Martin is a chartered accountant and was the former CFO of Marsulex Inc. from 2006 until its sale in 2011. Mr. Martin brings over 25 years of experience to the role having also served as the Vice President of Finance at Toromont Industries and a partner at Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Semkowski stated "I am very pleased that Bill has agreed to join Discovery Air. His significant experience working with operationally diverse and geographically dispersed business units will be of great benefit to us as we move forward. I would also like to thank Andy Min for his commitment to Discovery Air and strong work ethic, which have seen us through many challenges over the past few years. Andy will continue at Discovery Air as Vice President of Corporate Accounting and will work closely with Bill to ensure a smooth transition to the CFO role.
