Discovery Air appoints Paul Bernards as Chief Financial Officer
TORONTO, March 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Discovery Air Inc. ("Discovery Air") announced today that Paul Bernards has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of Discovery Air effective April 1, 2014.
Mr. Bernards brings nearly 30 years of experience as a senior finance leader and executive to his role at Discovery Air. He has previously served as CFO for Masonite International Corporation, Shepell FGI and Premier Salons, serving most recently as Vice President Finance, Operations for JELD-WEN. Mr. Bernards has extensive experience in managing worldwide finance, tax and IT functions, developing effective reporting and control processes, and due diligence and post-acquisition integration. He began his career as an accountant in public practice with KPMG in Toronto, where he worked as a Senior Accountant before leaving to commence his career in private industry.
Mr. Bernards is a Canadian Chartered Accountant, a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from York (now Schulich) School of Business and an ICD.D designation.
