Discovery Air's Top Aces Inc. Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
YELLOWKNIFE, NW, Sept. 7 /CNW/ - Discovery Air Inc. (TSX:DA) is pleased to announce that the Quality Management System (QMS) of Top Aces Inc. has been assessed and registered by Intertek Testing Services NA Ltd. as conforming to all of the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Top Aces, a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air, is the prime supplier of airborne training services to the Canadian Army, Navy and Air Force.
ISO 9001 is Quality Management System Standard that is recognized globally. Top Aces' Vice President of Engineering and Maintenance, Daniel Gibeau, noted "This confirms by an outside independent auditor that our Quality Management System is based on a culture of continuous improvement, and that our operation is run to a consistently excellent standard. Our customers can be assured that the consistently high quality of service we have been providing over the past 6 years under the Interim Contracted Airborne Training Services Contract will be maintained throughout our organization."
Top Aces' Quality Management System applies to the company as an Aircraft Operator and Approved Maintenance Organization providing services like tactical training, aircraft maintenance, aircraft component repair, aircraft systems design and engineering, aircraft modifications, supply chain management and logistics support and project management.
