Disnat Ranks Highest in Investor Satisfaction among Discount Brokerage Firms
for a Second Consecutive Year
MONTREAL, July 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Disnat, the online brokerage division of Desjardins Securities, is proud to announce that for the second year in a row, its investors have given it top ranking among Canadian discount brokers for customer satisfaction, according to a study conducted by global marketing information services company J.D. Power and Associates.
Fielded in May 2010 among 2,835 investors, the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Canadian Discount Brokerage Investor Satisfaction Study(SM),(1) examines investor satisfaction by measuring six key factors. The factors considered were interaction; account information/statements; trading charges and fees; account offerings; information resources; and problem resolution.
Accordingly, in 2010, investors gave an overall average rating of 707 on a 1,000-point scale to express their level of satisfaction with their primary broker. Disnat got the highest cumulative score of 725 points, standing out particularly in three of six factors: interaction, account information/statements, and account offering.
"The results of this study bear testimony to the excellent service Disnat provides its investors. This recognition motivates us to continue surpassing ourselves a bit more every day," stated Yves Néron, Senior Vice-President and Head of Private Client Services at Desjardins Securities.
For Frédéric Paquette, Vice-President and General Manager, Online Brokerage, these results also stem from the major efforts made by Disnat over the years to provide its clients with top-notch service. "It's all about teamwork. We are all proud to have earned this honour for a second year, especially considering that it comes from our clients themselves. Regardless of market conditions, we need to stay attentive to client needs and keep innovating, such as we are doing with Disnat GPS and Disnat Mobile," underscored Mr. Paquette.
