Dominion Lending Centres Launches Nationwide "Our House" Creative Campaign Highlighting "We've Got A Mortgage For That"
VANCOUVER, Nov. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Dominion Lending Centres (DLC), Canada's leading national mortgage and leasing company, has launched a nationwide, light-hearted advertising campaign featuring characters portraying outgoing United States President, Barack Obama, and an expected mother of quadruplets to showcase the company's distinctive ability to customize their services to address the unique needs of customers.
DLC's "Our House" campaign launched nationwide this past weekend in time for the US election and will run in key markets during peak viewership programming such as the Grey Cup, Super Bowl and the Masters Golf Tournament through Spring 2017. The campaign, created by Q Media, will broadcast in English and French nationwide on CTV, TSN, Global, HGTV and CBC as well as in Landmark Theatres across Canada for the month of December. It has an expected audience reach of 26 million views.
Two commercials were released this past weekend and a third holiday themed commercial featuring Santa Claus will be released in late November. Four additional commercials will be released in 2017. DLC obtained the rights of 1982 Madness hit single "Our House" which is played in each of the commercials.
"We wanted to show a lighter side of DLC that demonstrates we have a mortgage solution for anyone regardless of the circumstances in their lives," said Dave Teixeira, VP of Marketing, Public Relations and Communications. "We use "Our House" to evoke fond memories people have of the song and the emotional connection they have to their home. Ultimately, we're letting Canadians know DLC can help secure the right mortgage at the best rate because "we've got a mortgage for that.'"
Teixeira adds the campaign builds on the remarkable success and growth achieved in part through past campaigns over the last 10 years such as commercials featuring Don Cherry.
The buy was handled by DSA media network, with the ads targeting DLC's broadening customer base of millennials, first time buyers, and executive business buyers. Laura Ballance Media Group will be spearheading PR initiatives.
The commercials vary from 15 to 30 seconds in length and offer a smart and cheeky look at DLC services through short clips showing life's unexpected financial twists. With actors cheerfully singing "Our House" and a voiceover DLC tagline at the end of each commercial declaring "We've got a mortgage for that," these commercials offer an amusing look at Dominion Lending Centre's services. One commercial depicts a President Obama look-a-like making use of DLC's expertise to arrange a move to Canada exclaiming, "Justin says the golf is great up there!"
"As housing markets, mortgage rules and interest rates change, people often do not think they will be able to find a mortgage to meet their specific challenges and that is simply not the case," adds Teixeira.
