Don't be sad about summer's end - Toronto Hydro-Electric System reminds customers to take advantage of the lowest electricity rates this weekend

TORONTO, Aug. 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Labour Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer. While some will escape the city one last time, those who stay will be able to take advantage of OFF-PEAK electricity rates all weekend long. Students will also be busy doing laundry - getting ready for the first day of school - and can do it all weekend at the lowest price starting Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m. through to Tuesday at 7 a.m.

The following dates are designated OFF-PEAK at 6.7 cents/kWh all day long:

• Saturday, August 31
• Sunday, September 1
• Monday, September 2

MOVE IN / MOVE OUT

A lot of people will also be moving - September is one of the busiest months and Toronto Hydro processes thousands of 'move-in' and 'move-out' requests.  This is the perfect time to sign up for MyTorontoHydro.
