- Zoosk survey reveals that the countdown is on for many Canadian singles who hope to find someone by February 14th -
TORONTO, Jan. 31, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian singles hope 2012 will be the year they start a romantic relationship (69%) and many have set a tight deadline. As many as half (54% of men and 50% of women) hope to find someone special by Valentine's Day, and with two weeks until the big day, singles are taking action.
"Traffic to our site spikes in January and I believe it's related to people scrambling to avoid being alone for Valentine's Day as our survey revealed," says Jane Barrett, Marketing Director for the romantic social network Zoosk.com. While she says actively dating is important if you're looking for a romantic match, Barrett cautions against setting a timeline; "Half the fun of finding someone is the dating journey. You're really cheating yourself if you try to rush into a relationship. Remember, February 14th is just another day."
