Don't Take a Break From Safety on March Break
TORONTO, March 8, 2012 /CNW/ - March Break is a sure sign that spring is just around the corner. Ontario Power Generation (OPG) urges parents and caregivers to take extra caution if they are near lakes and rivers.
"This unusual winter has created very dangerous ice and water conditions across the province," said Frank Chiarotto, Senior Vice President of OPG's Hydro-Thermal Operations group. "Some regions still have ice, but it's thinner than normal, while other areas are already experiencing spring flows of water".
"The best advice is to Stay Clear and Stay Safe, especially on lakes and rivers where there are hydro dams and stations," he added.

"We all know the kids are anxious to get out and explore once the weather warms up, but it's up to the grownups to make sure March Break is a safe time for everyone," Chiarotto said.
