Dr. Arun Jagdeo elected PAR-BC President
VANCOUVER, Sept. 12, 2013 /CNW/ - The Professional Association of Residents of British Columbia (PAR-BC) is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Arun Jagdeo as PAR-BC President. Dr. Jagdeo attended the University of Manitoba for his undergraduate studies (BSc and BA) before pursuing his medical education at the same institution. He moved to British Columbia for his residency training where he is currently a third year resident in Psychiatry.
Joining Dr. Jagdeo on the Board of Directors are Dr. Jason Wong, Immediate Past President; Dr. Paul Hertz, Vice President; Dr. Michael Suen, Director of Finance; and Dr. Mary Masotti, Director of Communications. Members-at-large are Drs. Katherine Beadon, Andrew Delany, Daniel Heffner, Dayan Huang, Eda Karacabeyli, Kathryn Milne, and François Pomerleau. Official Observers are Drs. The Professional Association of Residents of British Columbia is a certified trade union, which represents the interests of over 1200 residents in collective bargaining. Resident physicians are a diverse, well-rounded, group of medical doctors who are enrolled in postgraduate training programs during their transition to become independent medical practitioners.
