Dress for Success Toronto Announces Winners of Bay Street Suit Challenge
Thousands of GTA employees come together to support job seeking women
TORONTO, June 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Dress for Success Toronto, a charitable organization dedicated to promoting the economic independence of women across the GTA, announced the winners of the 2016 Bay Street Suit Challenge at a lively celebration on June 22th at the Irish Embassy Pub and Grill.
The awards ceremony saw Scotiabank come in 1st for the third year running. In second place was Crowe Soberman followed by CIBC in third place. None of this would have been possible without the ongoing support of RBC Capital Markets, our Title Partner for the second year in a row.
"Dress for Success Toronto and the thousands of Bay Street Suit Challenge participants know that together, we are changing the face of poverty in the GTA. Resources raised go directly to empowering our clients to enter the workforce." says Debbie Lupton, Executive Director of Dress for Success Toronto. She added, "This year's Bay Street Suit Challenge was the most successful to date raising almost $55,000 for the charity as well as seeing almost 15,000 pieces of professional wear donated for our clients. Thank you to all of our partners, their employees and others who donated so generously. "

The Bay Street Suit Challenge sees corporate partners participate through companywide efforts offering employees the opportunity to clean out their closets to donate new or nearly new professional clothing and accessories as well as to provide financial support to a worthwhile cause.
Donations will transform lives and allow 1,500 clients to achieve economic independence. Dress for Success Toronto is an organization founded on the belief that every person deserves a chance to succeed. This not-for-profit organization provides clients from low-income families a complete wardrobe for interviews and employment, as well as ongoing pre and post-employment support.
