VANCOUVER and NEW DELHI, India, April 20 /CNW/ - Pebble Creek Mining Ltd. ("Pebble Creek") is pleased to announce that the drilling contractor, Transnational Drilling & Mining Associates Pvt. Ltd., has mobilized equipment from its base in Rajasthan to Pebble Creek's Askot project in Uttarakhand, India. Equipment includes a track-mounted, high-speed Hydco 1400N rig, 1,900 metres of pipe and casing, three support vehicles and all ancillary gear, spares and expendables. The equipment is expected to arrive at Askot by April 24.
The 7,000 metre drilling program at Askot will start by testing a coincident electromagnetic and soil geochemical anomaly along strike from the known mineralization. Then it will test the potential down-dip. The average width of the known massive sulphide beds is 5 metres. The lateral and down-dip boundaries of the deposit have not yet been identified.
The Askot deposit has a National Instrument 43-101 compliant indicated mineral resource containing copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold.
