VANCOUVER, Nov. 10 /CNW/ - Jaxon Minerals Inc. reports that the 2010 diamond drill core program has commenced at the Nox Fort Project near Salmo, B.C. The seven hole, approximately 1200 meter, program is testing the west contact of the Bunker Hill intrusive which previously has been identified as a Reduced Intrusion Related Gold Deposit (RIRGD) style of target. Anomalous gold + bismuth + tellurium concentrations in soils and in outcrop areas near the historic Bunker Hill Mine workings are untested drill targets. The 2010 drill program is expected to be completed by the end of November.
J. David Williams, P. Eng, Senior Project Geologist and qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 is supervising the drill program being completed by Westcore Drilling Ltd., of Salmo B.C., and by geotechnical staff of Minconsult Exploration Services.
The one half, sawn, diamond drill core rock samples will be shipped by secure transport to Acme Analytical Laboratories (Vancouver) Ltd., where they will be prepared and analyzed by the geochemical ultra-trace ICP-MS procedure (IF06). Bruce Ballantyne, Project Manager stated "We are examining RIRGD anomalies related to the Clease Prospect and lower elevation intrusive contact areas not explored during our previous work. In addition, the Company is considering expanding its exploration activities into Mexico where year round projects are possible."
