Drive-You-Home service: Red Nose in December, CAA-Quebec the rest of the year
QUEBEC, Dec. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Following the two busiest December weekends for Operation Red Nose, and with just three days remaining in its 2010 campaign, CAA-Quebec is issuing a reminder that it offers its many members its own Drive-You-Home service.
"Apart from December, when Red Nose looks after bringing thousands of Quebecers back home safely, CAA-Quebec offers this service the other months of the year," explains Sophie Gagnon, the organization's Director of Public and Government Relations. "For more than 1.1 million drivers, it takes just a phone call to CAA-Quebec to get back home with peace of mind if they think they may not be in a fit condition to drive."
CAA-Quebec's Drive-You-Home service sees itself as complementary to existing programs for assisting motorists. It is offered once during each membership year and is accessible 24 hours a day, every day, throughout the territory served by the organization. "Our patrollers will tow the member's vehicle and drive him or her home," Ms. Gagnon notes. "It should be remembered that the problem of drinking and driving exists year-round. This program aims to make the roads safer in summer and winter alike."
CAA-Quebec, an Operation Red Nose partner
Aware that the Red Nose service could not exist without invaluable help from tens of thousands of volunteers, CAA-Quebec offers its Emergency Road Service free of charge each year to all volunteers, whether or not they are members, who experience mechanical problems on the road while on duty. This is CAA-Quebec's way of saying thanks to everyone who gets involved in making the roads safer.
CAA-Quebec, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1904, provides automotive, travel, residential and financial services.
