MONTREAL, Sept. 27, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - In collaboration with Easter Seals Quebec, the Quebec Society for Disabled Children (QSDC) held yesterday its unique and exciting annual fundraising event Drop Zone. Fearless participants lived a truly exhilarating and exceptional experience to show their support to disabled children in a most spectacular way.
For this occasion, the participants dressed as superheroes rappelled down the 21 floors of the 1981 McGill College skyscraper. With their help the QSDC was able to raise up to $115 000 to give disabled children across Quebec access to programs that promote their personal growth and their integration into the community.
The 2013 edition saw the celebrity hairdresser Luc Vincent perform a complete hair makeover to a participant during their rappel. With extreme courage, the figure skater, Joannie Rochette and the hosts for Les Nerdz from ZTélé also faced the 21 floors of the building.
In one day alone, Drop Zone gave an opportunity to the brave superheroes to inspire the children with the courage they need to persevere and to achieve a happy life.
