Credit Union Clarifies Mortgage Rate Offer for Black Friday
TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - DUCA Financial Services Credit Union confirmed that its mortgage rates on offer are everyday good value and not just for Black Friday, in a statement today.
DUCA works with a select group of commissioned sales representatives or brokers who believe in the speed and quality of service as well as being rate competitive.
"Despite media stories to the contrary, DUCA is not offering special or discounted rates. These independent sales reps are so enthusiastic about the simplicity and ease of having a DUCA mortgage that they may choose to forgo their normal commissions from time to time to offer their clients special deals. However, our rates remain unchanged," explains Richard Senechal, president and CEO of DUCA.
"The individual broker initiative to run a 'Black Friday' discount is to be commended for the financial commitment to the quality of the DUCA product. These brokers are putting their own money on the line."
DUCA already offers the most competitive mortgage rates available. Earlier this year the credit union was Ontario's first-ever financial institution to reduce rates on mortgages after they've been funded. This innovative mortgage deal allows borrowers to switch between fixed and variable rates. In addition, if DUCA's rate drops, home buyers will get the lowest one up to 30 days following the closing of his or her mortgage.
