EDMONTON, Nov. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, DynaLIFEDx declared its intention to appeal Alberta Health Services' (AHS) decision which selected an Australian-based company as the preferred proponent to negotiate a contract to deliver lab services to patients in the Edmonton region and northern Alberta. This decision to appeal follows an AHS-led debrief late last week which confirmed to DynaLIFEDx its concerns with the RFP process. "We have serious reservations about the quality and integrity of the RFP process and its discrimination against DynaLIFEDx," said Jason Pincock, CEO DynaLIFEDx.
DynaLIFEDx has provided quality lab services to Edmonton and region and northern Alberta for 40 years. "Our long standing record of service to Albertans and exceptional labour relations were clearly disregarded in the decision-making process" says Pincock.
DynaLIFEDx is compelled to appeal because it believes that there were significant flaws and failures in the conduct of the RFP process which drove to a biased conclusion. DynaLIFEDx asserts that:
DynaLIFEDx will appeal this AHS decision because we strongly believe these significant concerns have not been addressed for our 1200 local employees, the physician community we serve, and the over 1.5 million patients that count on us each year.
"We have let our concerns be known to the Minister and Premier," said Pincock, "and are asking for all options and next steps be reconsidered by government. We are determined to stand up for the many Albertans who have built this company into the local success story that it is," he added.
