Earth Rangers and the Honda Canada Foundation partner to help kids help the
planet
WOODBRIDGE, ON, April 22 /CNW/ - Earth Rangers, a non-profit organization that inspires children to protect animals and their habitats, is pleased to announce its recent partnership with the Honda Canada Foundation. Honda Canada has been a long-time supporter of Earth Rangers, and now the Honda Canada Foundation has committed to a three-year sponsorship. Commencing in April 2010, the sponsorship will focus on supporting the organization's BRING BACK THE WILD and Education Outreach programs.
"We're thrilled to have the support of such an outstanding organization," shares Peter Kendall, Executive Director of Earth Rangers. "Honda Canada has been a dedicated supporter of our work with children and we're delighted to have the Honda Canada Foundation join us in celebrating our BRING BACK THE WILD and Education Outreach programs over the next three years. Their support of these programs will enable us to spread our message to children across Canada about the importance of biodiversity and the need for habitat protection."
Through its contributions, the Honda Canada Foundation will support two unique and engaging programs aimed at children from ages six to thirteen. Both BRING BACK THE WILD and the 'Animal Ambassador' Education Outreach programs strive to inspire and educate kids about biodiversity loss and empower them to help take action and protect the natural world and the animals that reside in these wild spaces. The 'Animal Ambassador' program also encourages children to make a connection between the impact humans have on the environment and the importance of making responsible choices. By empowering kids to take small actions to protect the planet, Earth Rangers is fostering the next generation of environmental stewards.
"Honda has a long history of leading innovation and implementing environment-friendly technologies, and our partnership with Earth Rangers further supports this mandate," adds Jerry Chenkin, Executive Vice President and CCO, Honda Canada. "As Canadians look to preserve the environment, so too does Honda, by our actions and through our various environmental partnerships."
