Eastlink celebrates nine years as one of Canada's Best Managed companies
Over 40 years of innovation and commitment to an exceptional customer experience
HALIFAX, March 11, 2015 /CNW/ - Eastlink confirmed today that the company has been honoured by Deloitte Canada as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies for the ninth consecutive year. The announcement comes as the company heads into its 45th year in the telecommunications industry – growing from a small cable company in Amherst, NS in the early 70s, to become Canada's largest family-owned telecommunications service provider.
"I want to congratulate Eastlink on becoming a Platinum Club member. This designation exemplifies consistency, commitment and the ability to be flexible in a changing marketplace. These qualities are what make Eastlink such a great business success story and one of Canada's Best Managed Companies," said Peter Brown, National Co-Leader of Canada's Best Managed Companies Program and Senior Practice Partner, Deloitte.
Deloitte Canada's Best Managed Companies program is the country's leading business awards program, recognizing Canadian companies who demonstrate profitability, innovation and overall corporate success.
"We're so proud to once again have met the stringent standards of Deloitte Canada's Best Managed Companies program," said Eastlink's CEO Lee Bragg. "Consistently winning this designation over the past nine years is a direct reflection of our employees' unwavering commitment to innovation and customer service."
Eastlink was first recognized by Deloitte Canada as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies in 2006, and in 2013 earned the program's prestigious Platinum Club status.
"We continue to work hard at delivering the best customer experience, including the most innovative services at great value, today and into the future," added Bragg.

The awards are granted on four levels: 1) Best Managed winner (one of the new winners selected each year); 2) Requalified member (repeat winners retain the Best Managed designation for two additional years, subject to annual operational and financial review); 3) Gold Standard winner (After three consecutive years of maintaining their Best Managed status, these winners have demonstrated their commitment to the program and successfully reapplied for the designation. Companies may requalify for two additional years, subject to annual operational and financial review; 4) Platinum Club member (winners that maintain Best Managed status for a minimum of six consecutive years).
