easyhome and 7-Eleven Canada Sponsor National Checkpoints for Inaugural Capital One Race for Kids
TORONTO, April 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) today announced that easyhome Ltd. and 7-Eleven Canada have signed on as national checkpoint sponsors for BGCC's first national fundraising event - Capital One Race for Kids. The partnerships will see both easyhome Ltd. and 7-Eleven Canada each own one of ten designated Checkpoint Challenges in all 14 communities participating in the urban adventure race this spring.
easyhome Ltd. selected Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada as its first national charitable partner in 2004. In September 2010, easyhome pledged to donate $250,000 to BGCC over a five-year period, which supports scholarships and engaging programs for children and youth.
7-Eleven Canada's sponsorship of Capital One Race for Kids marks the convenience chain's first partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, complementing a proud history supporting their local neighborhoods in meaningful ways through community relations initiatives.
"It's exciting to see both new and existing partners of Boys and Girls Clubs support the foundation of Canada's next generation through Capital One Race for Kids," said Pam Jolliffe, CEO, BGCC. "It's a great time to change lives, and both easyhome and 7-Eleven Canada's participation as national checkpoint sponsors will bring exciting challenges for teams of five who will compete in a race to the finish."
